With the demands of modern society, mindfulness has been a rather hot topic in the health and wellness world as of late.Living mindfully takes a constant, conscious effort in every moment of one’s day. Adopting a mindful practice can help improve physical health, mental health and general wellbeing. More specifically, it can help relieve stress, treat heart disease, lower blood pressure, reduce chronic pain, improve sleep and alleviate gastrointestinal difficulties. This attention to the present moment sounds dreamy and magical, but it does not always come easy. As a meditation specialist who is well versed in the idea of mindfulness, I can vouch for the known reality that mindfulness is called a PRACTICE for a reason. The practice of mindfulness is like being a professional tennis player. these professionals eat, breath and sleep their sport every day, all day. And still, some days they win the tournament, and other days they lose. Just like a tennis player, a mindfulness practice takes hard work, dedication and the ability to grow and evolve. One way I have personally learned to practice mindfulness even on a busy day that I am traveling for work is by listening to one of my favorite podcasts. Below are a few of my favorites to help you get started with your own journey to more mindful living.

Mindful In Minutes

A podcast dedicated to practicing mindfulness trough weekly meditations of 20 minutes or less.Begin with "Meditation for Peace and Contentment"In this week’s episode, Kelly leads you through a guided meditation that helps you release any stress and worry that you’re holding onto and come to a space of peace and contentment for who you are, what you do and what you have.

The Mindful Experiment

A podcast produced and developed by Dr. Vic Manzo Jr., who shares information about how to overcome the obstacles of life and “inspire a realization of your infinite potential.”Begin with "What Dictates our Behavior and Outcomes in Life?"There are so many factors that determine our behaviors, actions, thoughts, etc. But, what if there was a common denominator that dictated all behaviors? All actions? Why are some successful and some are not? Why are some happy and some are not? Why are some athletes super successful and some are not?In this episode, I will break down this equation and give you answers to transform your life to become anything you desire in your life. This is a tall order but within 18 minutes, you will have a deeper understanding to the WHY you experience what you are experiencing and what are the things you can do to change the script of your life to experience a more EMPOWERED REALITY.
