Spring is the best time to get out and enjoy some great family fitness activities! The weather is just right, you feel full of energy, and the sun is shining bright. Lately, it can feel kind of scary going outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. With this hesitation, we’ve had to make lifestyle adjustments to accommodate this new norm of being active at home.  We know it can be challenging to think of creative ways to get moving, so that’s why I’m sharing a great, energy-boosting challenge that you can do at home with the kiddos. Here’s a quick challenge to get in some movement and bring out some competitive fire in the household. It’s called, “The Coin Flip 400 Step Challenge”.  This will definitely have the whole family up racing towards the finish line. Well, you’re not literally racing each other for distance, but you are going to run or march in place and see who reaches 400 steps first. You can even choose your level of difficulty to ensure that you are getting a good workout.

So here's how it works.

Each person will grab one coin. Flip it in the air and catch it. If it lands heads up, you march/run in place for 20 steps. Flip again. If it lands tails up, simply flip again. Keep flipping the coin until you land with heads up. Then perform your 20 step count.  Keep adding to your total score every time you march/run. The first person to 400 steps wins the challenge.

This is a great way to get moving and connect with your kids. Be creative and insert your favorite movement activities to your list. Get your blood flowing and heart pumping with this fun interactive quick challenge.  Click HERE to learn more about the Wellview services available to you. We can’t wait to work with you!
